Position: Senior Broadcast Engineer - Full Time/Exempt
Reports to:Senior Director of Production, Chief Broadcast Engineer
Background:
Insignia Event Services is an affiliate of the Arizona Cardinals, responsible for the production of all events at State Farm Stadium including Arizona Cardinals games. In addition to Arizona Cardinals games, Insignia Event Services exclusively manages Sportsman's Park (SP). Sportsman's Park has been a site for pre-game festivities, tailgating, concerts, festivals, weddings, graduations, corporate events, and other related experiences. Two of the major pillars of Insignia's current revenue are events at Sportsman's Park, and the creative production of events at State Farm Stadium.
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Production and Chief Broadcast Engineer, the Senior Broadcast Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight and operations for all Insignia Events, event preparations and support, routine system checks and maintenance, modifications and repair of electronic equipment to all broadcast systems at State Farm Stadium, Arizona Cardinals practice facility, or any internal system. Work with full time / part time staff, and engineering technicians to facilitate live productions for both broadcast and in-stadium presentations.
Primary Job Duties:
- Manage and support technical operations, maintenance, and improvements of State Farm Stadium's broadcast production systems, MATV, control room, SMPTE 2110 core routing, and associated systems at the stadium and Arizona Cardinals practice facility: including equipment, servers, LED displays, MATV systems, peripherals, and broadcast network.
- Understanding of IP-based transport of audio/video signals for broadcast television such as, SMPTE 2110-7, NDI, etc.
- Understanding of Cisco switching and routing, VMWare, and vSphere
- Maintain, improve, and develop event cost estimates, event summaries, and reconciliation. Contributing to any necessary RFI, RFQ, or RFP information as needed.
- Develop, document, and adhere to all standard operating procedures for broadcast systems under IES's supervision, broadcast technical services, and game day / event service procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks of Insignia broadcast video systems and assist with procurement, rentals, and ordering of all broadcast and MATV equipment; as well as manage existing inventory and assets.
- Research new technologies and equipment for upgrades to the broadcast video equipment inventory and video systems.
- Generate cost estimates for live event support and annual video department budget proposals, as needed.
- Work alongside, develop, mentor, and manage full time and part time broadcast engineering professionals, event-day support personnel, and other operators. Conduct ongoing reviews of staffing plans, recruiting, training, and supervision.
- Build upon department best practices and policies to help maximize the integration of all systems and to meet Insignia's goals, standards, and guiding principles.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure game and event presentation technical requirements are developed, vetted, communicated, and executed efficiently and effectively.
- Work closely with Production staff, IT, Operations and other groups across the Arizona Cardinals and State Farm Stadium to resolve problems and assist in their areas of need.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree and at least 7-10 years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in the broadcast engineering field, maintaining a technically advanced production control room and / or network infrastructure.
- Understanding of IP based production, routing, Cisco network routing and switch configurations
- Previous experience supporting, maintaining, and progressing a broadcast control room, including familiarity with modern broadcast cabling infrastructure used in broadcast environments.
- Experience with control room equipment such as Imagine Communications SNPs, Evertz DreamCatcher Replay systems, TAG MultiViewer, Sony Cameras, Ross Xpression, Daktronics, IP Control Room Networking, AJA Frame Syncs and glue gear, Adder KVM, etc.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Workspace, and a high proficiency with Mac and PC operating systems.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and Media Encoder.
- Knowledge or previous experience working with NFL, NCAA Football, or large venue broadcast engineering operations.
