MMJ NEWS Reporter

Looking for a journalist who’s had internships or a previous job in REAL NEWSROOMS. Want a true journalist who wants to lead a newscast.
You MUST be a journalist who understands story ideas, wants to win in coverage, and wants to go LIVE every day.
This is NOT a job for a journalist who wants to hang out in the newsroom all day. You MUST thrive in getting in the field to get the story.
WXXV-TV FOX 25/NBC 25, Gulfport/Biloxi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast with 26 miles of white sand beaches is looking to fill a full-time MMJ News Reporter position.
We want a strong go-getter who wants to lead Morning News and cover fun events along the coast. You will shoot, write, edit and do live shots. You will also have the opportunity to Anchor. We build careers with daily coaching, mentoring, and review of your work – our goal as a newsroom is developing you into a dynamic strong journalist.
You’ll work with a News Director with over 30 years’ experience as a Reporter/Anchor in major markets including New York City.
We currently do seven hours of news each day.
WXXV is in Gulfport, Mississippi. Great beaches, Gulf seafood and world-class casinos are a few of the things that make the Mississippi Gulf Coast a tourist destination. We are located just over one hour from New Orleans. You won’t get bored in Gulfport/Biloxi.
A good driving record is a must. We utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
