GeekSI covers 100 percent employer contribution toward health insurance premiums for employees and 50 percent for dependents.
We are looking for a remote Web Content developer to produce high-quality web content. You will use your communication and web design skills to increase audience engagement, create web content, and contribute to social media platforms. You will be expected to create new content in various web-friendly formats, proofread content before it is published online perform background research as needed, and follow in-house formatting standards. Travel may be required at select times throughout the year.

The Must-Haves: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below
- Must currently reside in the US
- Must have an associates degree or a 2 year technical school
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a Web Content Developer
- Writing, grammar, and design skills
- Time management skills
Preferred: The knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below are preferred for this role, but not required:
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
- Basic HTML or scripting experience
Responsibilities:
- Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
- Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
- Create and maintain the information architecture
- Create various content types, including website copy, blog posts, social media posts, and product descriptions.
- Research industry topics and trends, optimize content for organic search, revise and edit pieces, and collaborate with other writers and marketers to ensure brand consistency.
- Translate technical software documentation from Defense Industry terms into useable, easily understood web content.
