SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage directly and indirectly all employees in the Advertising area of the Marketing Department. Adhere to the Tribal organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Tribal History Information
The origins of the 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians can be traced back to the Chemeheuvi, a peaceful and nomadic tribe whose territory once covered large expanses of Utah, Arizona and Southern Nevada. In 1867, a group of Chemeheuvi migrated west to the Oasis of modern day Twentynine Palms. The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians are their descendants.
As children of the Wolf, the Band has always drawn upon his strength and intelligence, as well as the wit and survival skills of the coyote, to endure and sustain themselves.
Today the Band's reservation lands are located near the town of Twentynine Palms, at the intersection of 1-10 and Highway 86, and includes sites of the Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino whose proceeds help provide housing, education, and financial security for future generations.

- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.
- Develop and monitor budget for advertising in television, radio, newspaper, magazines, directories, outdoor signage and a variety of area publications and sponsorships.
- Establish and develop positive relationships with media representatives, vendors and support teams to ensure the best possible positioning for Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino in advertising and promotions.
- Explore and create opportunities for cross-marketing with vendors and partners.
- Coordinate press releases and editorial as necessary and broadcast same in timely manner.
- Respond to numerous telephone and written requests for information on the property, promotions and special events.
- Evaluate all media opportunities presented and explore new advertising and networking options that will provide the greatest value and exposure for our media dollars.
- Manage and execute approved media schedule, placing all insertion orders, broadcast instructions and trafficking of all ads on a weekly basis.
- Monitor advertising trends of competitor properties in the area.
- Provide direction in the creation of collateral (for internal and external use) in marketing Spotlight 29 Casino's and Tortoise Rock Casino's special events and amenities that adhere to brand guidelines.
- Monitor flight schedules throughout month to ensure accurate billing in advertising is consistent with media plan.
- Review media invoices received for accuracy prior to approval by Vice President of Marketing.
- Coordinate and attend all media interviews with appropriate property spokesman. Accompany media reps at all times while on property.
- Represent Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino proudly and professionally at all times with guests, vendors and other employees.
- Provide team support and assistance in all other marketing areas by attending and working all promotions, special events and Spotlight showroom entertainment as required.
- Promote Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino as the premier entertainment experience at every opportunity.
- Provide support to Vice President of Marketing as necessary.
- Maintain excellent communications with all Vice Presidents, Directors and Supervisors.
- Implements approved departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure the budget for the department is monitored and adhered to by implementing effective processes and procedures.
- Prepare necessary data for the budget in area of responsibility.
- Keep abreast of competitive changes including industry trends and local competitive set.
- Develop, maintain and nurture a positive work environment.
- Responsible for maintaining a disciplined environment and implement practices that promote safety, quality and productivity.
- Help coordinate and supervise training, assignments and development of subordinates.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
- Able to make difficult decision in a fair and honest manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

- High School Degree (or GED)
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
- Must have five (5) years of advertising experience in a top management position.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
- Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.

- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises recording activity throughout most of the facilities on 24 hours per day, 7 days per week basis.
