We are seeking an experienced Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel with at least seven years of relevant experience to join a top international law firm in its Bellevue, WA office. In this position, you will:

• Draft and negotiate various advertising-related agreements, including influencer, celebrity endorsement, sponsorship, ad agency, and media buying contracts.
• Review advertising content for compliance with false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity laws.
• Counsel clients on compliance for contests, sweepstakes, subscription programs, and loyalty/rewards programs.
• Provide legal advice on marketing and consumer protection issues across a range of industries.
• Defend clients against allegations of false advertising, unfair competition, and related regulatory challenges.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and legal developments in advertising and consumer protection law.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience and Expertise

• Years of Practice: Minimum of 7 years of experience in advertising law, consumer protection, and marketing transactions.
• Substantive Knowledge: Expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements and advising on compliance issues.
• Preferred Background: Experience with false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division disputes is a plus.

Educational Credentials

• Juris Doctor (JD): Degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Bar Membership: Admission to the Washington State Bar is preferred but not required.
