Description
Our client seeks a midlevel associate with two to five years of experience to join their Advertising and Marketing Group in either Washington, D.C. or New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal counseling on advertising and marketing practices, including experience with investigations and litigation. Preferred qualifications include experience with the Federal Trade Commission, state consumer protection agencies, the National Advertising Division, and consumer class actions. Expertise in advertising copy review, sweepstakes and promotions counseling, and familiarity with FTC rules, pricing laws, telemarketing laws, autorenewal laws, advertising agreements, and email marketing laws is essential. The role involves working with a diverse client base, from start-ups to major brands and international retailers. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, outstanding academic credentials, a juris doctorate from an accredited law school, and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar.
