Welcome to the best view on the Northshore! The Anchor, located in Madisonville on the Tchefuncte River, serves a Gulf-inspired menu in a fun family setting. All about local character, The Anchor embodies a coastal lifestyle founded in gracious hospitality. Here, it’s about more than good food and good views. In addition to a fun, vibrant atmosphere, The Anchor offers an outdoor game area for all ages, live music, TVs to watch the game at the bar, and dockside boat parking for spontaneous visits or grabbing orders to go. Daytime or dinner, enjoy the Northshore’s best life at The Anchor.

We are looking for a talented cook to fill orders at The Anchor. You will be responsible for our customers’ experiences. The cooks responsibilities include ensuring our line is clean and tidy at all times, food preparation and presentation. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy creating creative cuisine and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you.

Working Environment:

  • Interior of restaurant, in restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam and extreme temperatures
  • Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds with ease
  • Walking, stooping, standing, bending and sitting; possibly for more than 1 hour
  • Ability to communicate orally and in written form, in English'

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
  • Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all sanitation and food production codesCOVID-19 Precaution(s):
