Position Overview:

The Production Artist will play a vital role in ensuring artwork is optimized for variable data programs and other tools used in production. This position focuses on creating accurate, print-ready files for garments and other products across multiple sizes and variations. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, experience in working with variable data software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with production and design teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage print-ready files for garments and other products, ensuring accuracy across multiple sizes and specifications.
• Utilize variable data software to create templates and handle customization needs for production.
• Ensure designs are properly scaled and formatted for optimal printing results, considering production constraints.
• Review and adjust digital files for accuracy, including color, alignment, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality control teams to streamline workflows and address any issues.
• Maintain an organized archive of files and templates for future use.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to artwork preparation and software.

Requirements:

• Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred). Or related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a production artist, prepress technician, or in a similar role.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Experience with variable data software and automation tools (e.g., InDesign Data Merge, FusionPro, or similar).
  • Familiarity with garment printing processes, such as screen printing, sublimation, or DTG.
  • Strong understanding of color management and file preparation for various printing methods.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in apparel manufacturing or related industries.
• Knowledge of file preparation for specialized garment printing techniques.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and workflow management systems.
