Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

The Graphic Artist collaboratively manages the graphics component of the seasonal design development process by executing the creation, coordinating the production and working closely with the Art Director and Graphic Designer(s). The main function for this role is the development of innovative, trend-appropriate graphics and prints for the Girls Character License Sleepwear Division, Infant/Toddler to Big Girls size range.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy & Innovation

Research and identify graphic and print trend directions in collaboration with Art Director and Graphic Designer(s); Collaborate with the Team of Graphic Artists to complete projects in a timely manner and in a user-friendly manner. Revise graphics accordingly based off notes and comments from Licensors, Sales Team, and Buyers.

Operations & Results

Execute compelling graphic and printed deliverables for garments for Seasonal lines for different tiers of distribution from mass market, clubs and off-price accounts.

Create deliverables in a production ready manner for cross-divisional usability.

Customers & Relationships

Manage follow-up with internal partners in design and production; manage interoffice communication and relationships with vendors and manufacturers; manage existing relationships and develop relationships with new suppliers, vendors and business partners to monitor trends, leverage new resources and implement most current processes

Partner with the Law Department to ensure that graphics/designs do not infringe on intellectual property rights and register new rights where necessary

Partner with IT to monitor and make recommendations for enhancements, upgrades and purchases

Leadership & Teams

  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with Graphic, Design and Sales Team. Attend online Licensor Rollouts and Meetings
  • Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary


Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:
  • Character License experience a must. Possess a strong passion for Character License and Pop Culture
  • Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented, meticulous and creative
  • Creativity, technical capability and sensibility for graphics and fonts; ability to create seamless all-over repeat prints, strong color sense, ability to sketch and render in Photoshop.
  • Dress or Gown Trims and embellishment experience a plus
  • Needs to work Pro-actively and collaboratively in a Team environment.
  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 4 - 7 years experience in graphic design; significant relevant experience in sleepwear a positive.
  • Expert in Adobe programs and Mac computers; highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop

Salary Range: 65,000-76,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
