Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Studio Visual Artist to join their team! This position will be reporting to Goulds Elementary School.

The Studio Visual Artist organizes and leads art activities for children ages 5-10. Activities/projects should introduce children to a variety of mediums and materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and lead daily art activities for students in our after-school program.
• Train After School instructors in the delivery of these activities.
• Order and prepare supplies for a variety of activities.
• Ability to work within a variety of themes to create activities that can be incorporated into the monthly programs.
• Facilitate art-based learning for children through different art forms and mediums
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to create art-based activities with and for children.
• Experience with art education programs for children.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Strong knowledge and ability in art.
• Bachelor's Degree in an art related field is preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
