Audio Visual Engineer

Work Schedule
: Onsite Washington DC
Compensation: $+35/hr

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated AV Engineer to maintain and enhance our state-of-the-art audiovisual systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and configuration of AV systems integrated with QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante components.
  • Participate in the installation and configuration of new AV systems, ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with system upgrades and evaluate new technologies to support the organization's goals.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, enhancing their ability to utilize AV resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on larger installation projects and system overhauls.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to support equipment procurement and system maintenance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in AV system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably with exposure to QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante.
  • Strong understanding of audio and video processing and control systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to technology and a willingness to engage in continuous learning and development.
  • Familiarity with key components like QSC, Crestron, Shure, and Dante, and ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot these systems.
  • Skills in installing and configuring AV systems to meet organizational needs and ensuring seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues with AV equipment, preventing and minimizing system downtimes.
  • Capability to assist in the design of AV systems under the guidance of senior engineers, including preparing system diagrams and integration plans.
  • Competence in creating and maintaining accurate records and documentation of AV configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Certifications
  • Holding or pursuing certifications such as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or specific product certification from QSC, Crestron, Shure, or Dante
