What You'll Do:
- Author Communications: Act as the central point of contact for authors, keeping them informed about the company initiatives that affect them, while addressing their questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism.
- Author Advocacy: Serve as the "voice of the author" within the organization, championing their needs, ideas, and feedback. Collaborate with internal departments to align business strategies with author expectations.
- Author Care: Ensure authors feel valued, supported, and engaged throughout their collaboration with Galatea. Develop initiatives such as personalized outreach, milestone celebrations, and meet-ups to strengthen our authors’ relationship with Inkitt
- Event Planning and Community Coordination: Plan and manage events to connect authors with each other and the broader romance writing community. Organize virtual and in-person gatherings, workshops, and conference visits that inspire creativity and collaboration and build Inkitt’s reputation among the wider author community
- Author Onboarding and Contracts: Support the recruitment of new authors, ensuring a seamless onboarding process. Help shape author contracts to ensure they are clear, fair, and advantageous for both parties.
- 4+ years in a support or advocacy role, within media, publishing, or entertainment.
- Proven experience working with creatives, writers, or authors and their needs
- A record of effective communication and relationship-building in a professional setting.
- Empathy: Strong emotional intelligence to build trust and maintain positive relationships with authors.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with authors and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges proactively and find solutions that benefit both authors and the company.
- Community-Building: Experience in fostering collaborative, inclusive, and supportive communities.
- Event Management: Proven ability to plan and execute engaging and impactful events.
