Description We're seeking a Broadcast Systems Administrator who will bring new technologies and methodologies that improve and evolve our ability to connect with Apple’s key audiences. You demonstrate attention to detail, clarity of thought, integrity, and creative approaches to difficult challenges. You have a highly developed sense of quality, accountability, and collaboration. You are dedicated to delighting partners, employees, and customers while innovating down to the details to deliver extraordinary virtual experiences. In this role you will be challenged to work on advanced broadcast technologies, learn how Apple's latest features and technologies function, and collaborate with teams across the Software, Hardware, and Marketing organizations. Additional responsibilities include: Drive the design, enhancements, and expansion of existing media network systems in collaboration with Broadcast Team members. Document technical procedures, signal flows, and network appliance configurations. Establish standard methodologies and provide support for Apple Worldwide Events across its portfolio of production facilities and event venues. Install and maintain servers, high-performance broadcast and storage equipment including encoders, media playback systems, and system-monitoring tools. Collaborate with Apple Information Security and New Product Security teams to ensure all security measures are in place. Monitor vulnerabilities, deploy patches, address hardware related critical issues, and manage system updates. Maintain local networks, file systems, and user accounts ensuring smooth operation and accessibility. Foster relationships with industry leaders to keep apace with trends in the event and broadcast technology space. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years validated experience in an enterprise technical support role at a media production facility. Broad systems administration experience with three key platforms: macOS, Linux, and Windows. Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Possess a broad knowledge of media, network, and computing technologies. Strong networking skills and the ability to handle sophisticated network infrastructures in a corporate environment. Meticulous approach to troubleshooting protocols and system upgrades, ensuring resilience, minimal downtime, and system reliability. Validated knowledge and hands-on experience with video-over-IP technologies including SMPTE 2110. Strong communication and diplomacy skills; capable of explaining work to audiences with various levels of technical experience. Experience with project management in order to navigate mixed priorities from key partners. Proven experience supporting technical teams during live, high-stakes global events. Certification in Cisco networking. Basic proficiency in scripting languages such as Python. Examples of having developed custom tools. Capacity to rapidly learn and master new technologies. BA/BS or equivalent meaningful experience. Education & Experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,100 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
