Journey Clinical is on a mission to transform the growing mental health crisis by accelerating the adoption of frontier treatments that lead to lasting improvements in clinical outcomes. We have built a turnkey healthtech platform to safely and effectively expand access to a powerful modality known as Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, starting with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). In our patient-centered collaborative care model, licensed psychotherapists in the network take on the psychotherapy, while Journey Clinical's in-house medical team takes on patient eligibility, treatment plan and outcome monitoring. Our platform gives psychotherapists passionate about PAP the infrastructure and support required to become empowered KAP providers, while enabling higher standards of patient care and enhanced clinical outcomes.

We have recently closed a successful Series A round led by Union Square Ventures, and are backed by a number of top-tier investors including AlleyCorp, Fifty Years, Able Partners, Gaingels, Palo Santo, PsyMed Ventures, Coalition Operators, Christina Sass co-founder of Andela, Edvard Engesæth, MD co-founder of Nurx and, Hans Gangeskar co-founder of Nurx.

Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Brand and Communications Leader to join our team. At Journey Clinical, we are building a movement and we need a powerful storyteller to inspire people globally . This person will be working directly with the co-founders. This is a part-time role (minimum of ~20+ hours/week) with the opportunity to grow into full-time role over 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

- Build the company's narrative for various audiences

- Own brand voice and tone end-to-end across all channels ( e.g. website, Meta, Google, JC portal, community portal etc...)

- Own company communications, both internally and externally (e.g. key product launches, key hires etc...)

- Manage crisis communications and serve as the company's spokesperson

- Collaborate with leadership team to implement brand and communication cohesion company-wide

- Take charge of new initiatives (e.g. launch a podcast, launch a blog etc...)

- Manage press (e.g. source PR agencies, identify organic opportunities etc...)

- Prepare co-founders and leadership team to speak in person and virtually (e.g. conferences, podcast etc.)

Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in brand and communication

- 3+ years in early-stage VC backed startup

- 3+ years in an agency

- Prior experience leading crisis comms

- Preferred experience in health tech (with an understanding of how to communicate to clinicians and patients)

- Stellar written and oral communication skills in technical and non-technical contexts

- Able to set a direction for design (e.g. how words can be expressed with visuals directionally)

- Willingness to be a thinker + a problem solver + come up with rapid solutions on the spot

- Receives a reward signal from "doing" (as opposed to "delegating")

- Obsessed with our customers

- Comfortable in change and ambiguity with the ability to run rapid experiments and learn quickly; comfortable iterating over and over again

- Strong sense of ownership and accountability; ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines

- Data-driven approach to success

-Highly collaborative and creative, and works well in a multi-functional virtual team

-Tech savvy and eager to learn and implement new tech/AI solutions to maximize efficiency and success

- Passionate about the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy to transform mental health
