Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive and strategic communications expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll be pivotal in developing and protecting Alstom’s image and strategy towards external and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including the VP of Communications for the Americas, Americas leadership, product line leaders, and communication staff), manage and develop the communication strategy and staff in the region, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- External communication supporting business, promoting the product and service portfolio.
- Internal communication supporting Region management in engaging employees around Alstom strategy, reinforcing the sense of belonging to Alstom.
- Works with VP of Communications for the Americas, Americas leadership and product line leaders to develop an annual calendar of milestones and planned activities.
- Defines regional messages and communications plan and cascades Alstom communications guidelines and strategy.
- Ensure implementation and follow up of U.S. communications plans, messaging platforms and project action plans.
- Advises and supervises the communication teams in the region for all media actions and management of crisis communications.
- Ensures that the communications team is using the calendar and key messages to shape consistent, high quality social media content.
- Manages internal communication to all employees in the region and escalates project milestones and overall social climate.
- Advises and supervises the communication teams in region for external local events and organization of site visits.
- Ensures that central rules are applied regarding branding issues for Alstom sites and JVs.
All about you

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in media relations, public relations, event management, and internal communications within a medium to large-sized corporation or PR agency.
- Knowledge of contemporary communications strategies and how they support business objectives.
- Familiarity with the U.S. media landscape, particularly in business, transportation, and the environment.
- Fluency in English (bilingual with Spanish or French is a plus).
- Proficiency in managing internal communication tools such as Newsletters, Webinars, and Social Media platforms.
- Experience in advising and supervising communication teams for external and internal events and media relations.
