Position Summary:

Facilitates collaboration between the Roseman University College of Medicine’s Office of Community Health Innovation (OCHI) and the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA). Collaborates with the GENESIS outreach team and medical students to ensure alignment with core GENESIS curricular objectives.

Travels between campus and community sites to establish the community infrastructure that promotes an ongoing, mutually beneficial, university-community partnership to support GENESIS initiatives and addresses community needs. Ensures compliance with relevant Roseman and outreach policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations and laws to maintain a private and confidential work environment.

Essential Functions:

• Establishes and maintains clear communication channels among students, faculty, OAA, and the GENESIS team.
• Acts as a liaison to integrate household-centered care principles with curricular activities.
• Coordinates student orientation activities and organizes extracurricular activities to enhance student well-being and academic success.
• Assists in the development and implementation of educational initiatives.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships with community and student organizations, to foster ongoing awareness of Roseman University College of Medicine and of GENESIS to recruit households and provide services to the community.
• Coordinates with Office of Student Affairs to support various student interest groups.
• Maintains a joint calendar of outreach events and works closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach events.
• Collaborates with the Wellup technology team. Wellup is the platform that drives the educational experience for students, faculty, and the GENESIS outreach team.
• Manages logistics and the scheduling of GENESIS home visits, ensuring coordination among medical students, faculty members, and other staff members.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree plus (4) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in digital media, communications, public health, social work, or a related field.
• Additional certifications or coursework in digital media technologies or marketing strategies may be advantageous.
• Experience involving community outreach and social services, or related field.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills.
