Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Content Writer opening for our client in Baton Rouge, LA.

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: Contract to Hire

Duties:

• Write creative and technical content with a strong command of grammar, style, and clarity.
• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in content.
• Tailor content to meet the needs and preferences of specific target audiences.
• Create content that is optimized for search engines with SEO knowledge.
• Write across various formats including blogs, articles, social media posts, and marketing copy.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure coherence and consistency.
• Generate original ideas to engage and captivate readers.

Skills:

• Strong writing proficiency, including grammar, style, and clarity in both creative and technical writing.
• Ability to conduct detailed research for content accuracy.
• Knowledge of SEO principles to improve content visibility on search engines.
• Excellent adaptability to write across diverse topics and formats.
• Strong editing and proofreading skills for refining content.
• Creative mindset to develop engaging and original content.

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience (post-college).
• Proven experience in writing for various formats including blogs, articles, and marketing content.
• Prior experience in content creation that adheres to SEO best practices is highly desirable.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

Other Requirements:

• Candidate must reside in Louisiana or be willing to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA.
• Link to a digital portfolio is required to showcase writing work.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
