Reporting to the Brand Director, the Digital Content Lead will be responsible for developing and executing cross-channel digital content strategies for (#1 US organic baby food brand and leading organic formula brand), to engage and educate parents with high performing content that supports digital marketing and direct commerce objectives in a competitive landscape.

This role will work cross-functionally with brand management, digital marketing, paid media, and creative teams, both locally and in partnership with global content teams to ensure the alignment of content with brand strategy and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing, content creation, with a passion and/or experience in the parenting/infant nutrition/health & wellness industries.

This is a part-time position (20/hrs per week). As needed on a project basis, this role will direct and manage a copywriter to support storytelling.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content & communications strategy to support brand objectives and consumer value journey, including website/D2C, social media, e-commerce, email marketing and 1:1 consumer connections.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify content opportunities and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align content initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and product launches, and partner with global content leads to assess available assets/tools for adaptation.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Formalize annual content development process and create/manage content calendar, driven by data including seasonal/top keyword insights, changing consumer trends, competitive insights and social listening.
  • Partner with digital/marketing teams, internal and external team of writers (experts/nutritionists, freelance copywriters) and agencies (SEO, digital, social) to review/update existing content and create new engaging and informative digital content, including web articles/blog posts, videos, infographics, that are leveraged across owned channels (social/web/email) and retail partners (ecommerce), align to content strategy and is personalized to support parents across ages/stages, from prenatal through toddlerhood.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather information and insights for content creation, manage review process to ensure all content is accurate, meets brand guidelines, and adheres to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and user experience (UX) to increase organic traffic and engagement.

Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of content initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Adapt and personalize content regularly and A/B test messaging regularly toward conversion. Leverage testing results to adapt content across the marketing ecosystem.
  • Use analytics tools and platforms to track website traffic, engagement metrics, and conversion rates.
  • Stay updated on emerging digital marketing trends and technologies to continuously improve content strategies and tactics.

This position is remote or hybrid if based in either New York, NY, White Plains, NY or Broomfield, CO.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

- Proven experience 5+ years as a digital content creator or content strategist, preferably in the parenting/baby/health wellness industries or related field. D2C experience required.

- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, content marketing, and social media platforms.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in SEO best practices and content management systems (CMS).

- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative content ideas.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to Food/Beverages CPG is a plus.
