Primary Function
The Business Content Strategist will work with a team of internal Content Creators and external agencies to develop unique content for publication across digital platforms and with media partners. Candidate should have strong knowledge of current content trends, audience behaviors and competitive landscape, as well as proven experience developing and executing content strategy that is aligned with audience needs and business objectives. Must have experience directly engaging with business executives and subject matter experts to produce content that demonstrates thought leadership and promotes our brand.
Leveraging the latest thinking from our small through institutional businesses, the position serves as a lead writer and editor of smart, straightforward articles and videos on current news, insights and trends impacting our business clients and their respective industries. Will also be responsible for keeping existing articles and videos up-to-date and in compliance with financial services marketing guidelines. Prior experience transforming complex information into understandable consumerized content is an essential skill.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with editors, writers, producers, project managers and internal "talent" to produce written and video content
- Understand and apply latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior
- Utilize metrics to inform content strategy and assess content performance
- Update older content to meet new content standards
- Deliver consistent content across all channels, from websites to social media channels and videos
- Assign and manage project deadlines and content launch dates for self and other internal and external stakeholders
- Technical Knowledge - experience in the small through institutional business segment is a plus. This may include digital transformation, cyber security, business transactional services, treasury or healthcare. Should have the ability to translate the complex into digestible content for multiple business audiences.
- Video production - creating scripts and run-of-show, identifying and coordinating with talent, developing and executing production timelines, video editing, including disclosures and ADA transcript
- Channel Management - understanding of internal and external digital channels, as well as opportunities to amplify content through various paid and organic channels
- Presentation and communication skills - ability to outline narratives and strategies in PowerPoint and present to stakeholders
- Organizational Skills - must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, think creatively and strategically while delivering engaging, quality content on-time
- Operational Efficiency - ensure internal platforms (e.g. tracking, governance, pipeline, compliance) are accurate and kept up to date
- Interpersonal Skills - Utilize strong communication, collaboration, and team building skills to navigate ambiguity and develop positive relationships with all stakeholders
- College degree
- 5+ years' experience in Content Marketing such as Content Strategy, Editorial/Storytelling/Writing/Editing and Video Production
- 3+ years in Financial Services marketing
