This role is onsite. Salary range is $70,000 to $110,000 (depending on skills and experience). 

About the Role

As our Social Content Strategist, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to engage our audience across multiple channels. You’ll be at the forefront of crafting and delivering content that promotes both our products and our core brand values, driving engagement and expanding our reach. Your strategic thinking and creative mindset will help build communities that foster brand advocacy and user-generated content, with a strong focus on both B2B and D2C audiences.

We’re looking for a highly creative and strategic thinker who stays ahead of the latest trends and knows how to translate those into successful social media campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. This role will require you to balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on content creation, ensuring consistency, impact, and engagement in everything we share.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement innovative social media strategies across multiple platforms to align with business objectives and brand values, targeting both B2B and D2C audiences.
  • Content Planning & Creation: Create high-quality, engaging content (including text, images, and videos) that connects with our audience and aligns with our brand aesthetic and messaging.
  • Content Calendar Management: Develop and manage a monthly content calendar to ensure timely delivery of posts that align with marketing initiatives and product launches.
  • Brand Storytelling: Craft compelling stories that showcase the essence of our brand, maintaining a consistent tone, voice, and visual style across all platforms.
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): Curate and manage a collection of UGC, encouraging community participation and leveraging these authentic materials to enhance engagement and trust.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Build and nurture a loyal social media following by actively engaging with our audience and fostering organic growth through actionable campaigns and community-building tactics.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly track and analyze social media performance using metrics like engagement, reach, and conversions. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve future strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, design, sales) and external partners to align content with broader brand campaigns and ensure cohesive messaging across all touchpoints.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience: 6+ years in a social media/content strategy role, with a proven track record of managing both B2B and D2C social media campaigns.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.) and their role in reaching both business clients and direct consumers.
  • Strategic & Creative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to craft long-term social strategies while creating compelling, creative content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Content Creation Skills: Strong proficiency in writing, videography, and editing content, with experience in creating engaging social media posts and storytelling materials.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Strong analytical skills, with experience tracking social media KPIs, reporting on campaign performance, and optimizing strategies based on data.
  • Passion for Social Media: A genuine enthusiasm for social media and a keen eye for trends, with the ability to adapt and apply new techniques to enhance brand presence.

 

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • Team Leadership: Experience in managing external content creators, designers, or agencies to execute social media strategies and produce high-quality content.
  • Community Growth: Proven ability to build and maintain online communities, increasing social media engagement, and fostering brand loyalty.
  • Adaptability: Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of or interest in lighting design, architecture, or related industries is a plus, though not required.
  • Creative Eye: Experience working with design teams to create visually compelling content that aligns with brand aesthetics.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing social media budgets for paid campaigns and influencer partnerships.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
