The Proposal Editor will be responsible for handling our content libraries, updating and maintaining content, writing compelling proposals, and ensuring all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy. This person will play a meaningful role in our content management processes, applying their expertise in proposal software and outstanding writing skills to support our business development efforts. Additionally, this role will require a solid understanding of proposal systems to identify and implement process improvements that allow for scalability. The Proposal Editor will report to the Sr. Manager of Proposal Operations. The Proposal Editor will have the following responsibilities: Content Management: + Coordinate and maintain the company's content libraries, ensuring all materials are current, relevant, and easily accessible. + Establish content management processes to engage with SMEs so that response text remains accurate and current. + Regularly update and revise content to reflect the latest product features, industry trends, and customer needs. + Prioritize and categorize content to facilitate efficient retrieval and use by the proposal team. Proposal Writing: + Write, edit, and format high-quality proposal content used in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) from K-12 schools and districts. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to gather vital information and insights. + Archive and maintain records of all submitted proposals and related documents. Proposal Software and Systems Expertise: + Use proposal management software to streamline the proposal development process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. + Identify and implement process improvements to scale the proposal development function. + Train team members on the use of proposal software and standard methodologies in proposal development. Required Experience: + 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing, RPF processes, and content management, preferably within the K-12 educational technology industry + Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. + Solid understanding of proposal systems and the ability to identify and implement process improvements. + Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.
