General Summary 

The Learning Content Specialist creates high-quality training materials for the HomeVestors franchise network, focusing on designing and maintaining engaging, on-demand learning resources aligned with adult learning best practices. This role also supports Learning & Development projects and cross-departmental initiatives, collaborating with subject matter experts to deliver innovative, interactive content that enhances learning and retention. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Content Development: 

  • Design materials that align with the HomeVestors brand and provide value to franchisees and development agents. 

  • Develop supplementary digital resources, including guides, assessments, and interactive learning experiences. 

  • Content Maintenance: 

  • Regularly review and update training content to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and proper functioning. 

  • Maintain a library of digital learning resources. 

  • Quality Assurance: 

  • Ensure content meets high-quality standards for instructional design and visual presentation. 

  • Test and evaluate learning materials to verify learning objectives and retention metrics are met. 

  • Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager, project managers, and key stakeholders to create and improve learning products. 

  • Participate in cross-departmental initiatives to ensure alignment and consistency across the organization. 

  • Act as a collaborative partner in L&D projects to support organizational goals. 

  • Research and Innovation: 

  • Apply knowledge of educational technology to design creative learning solutions using tools like discussion boards, badges, and social media. 

  • Stay current with trends in online learning, instructional design, and adult learning principles. 

  • Project Support: 

  • Schedule and participate in project meetings, ensuring deadlines are met. 

  • Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to improve learning materials and programs. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferred). 

  • Experience: 

  • At least 2 years of experience in curriculum design and development. 

  • At least 2 years of experience with educational technology and eLearning tools. 

  • Experience in technical, creative, or instructional writing. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Proficiency in eLearning software and LMS platforms. 

  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories. 

  • Familiarity with graphic design and digital production tools. 

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
