Job Summary: 
Blavity Inc. is looking for a Manager, Digital Content Operations  to oversee the day to day execution of content production across AfroTech social platforms. 

The Manager, Digital Content Operations oversees daily social media content strategy and production, ensuring timely execution across multiple platforms while optimizing workflows through AI tools and analytics. This full-time role involves managing content recirculation, conducting performance analysis, and supervising social production staff. The ideal candidate will make data-driven decisions to continuously improve content operations and engagement across our social networks.

This role will report directly to the Director, Content & Programming. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day execution of the social content strategy and production
  • Ensure timely and quality execution of the social content calendar
  • Leverage AI tools to recirculate editorial content across social platforms
  • Develop workflows that optimize daily operations of social content production across several networks
  • Use analytics tools to conduct thorough content analysis and make data driven decisions for improvement
  • Manage daily content tracking, processing, and reporting to ensure better content monitoring and adherence to the social content calendar
  • Develop workflow(s) to onboard and manage talent and content contributors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Editorial, Talent & Programming, Audience Development, and Creative to improve content quality and workflow efficiency
  • Partner with the Director, Content & Programming  to plan and execute monthly content strategy on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest based on engagement, performance, and branding
  • Provide weekly reporting on status and performance of social content programs to leadership and editorial teams
  • Manage other social production as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Required Experience: 
    • 4+ yrs of content operations or project management
    • Experience in digital marketing operations or digital content production
    • Experience recruiting and managing contractors for content operation tasks
  • Preferred Experience:
    • 2+ yrs managing people/teams
    • Expertise in social media program/project management
    • PMP Certification
  • Technologies: Fluent in Tableau, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, and/or comparable project management suite
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
    • Comfort with ambiguity and a proven love for transforming unorganized/complex data into rigorously structured, insight-oriented solutions
    • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills; outgoing and sociable; willing to wear multiple hats 
    • Naturally detail-oriented, with an obsessive need to document and communicate findings
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: 

  • This is a fully remote role, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required. 
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone 25% and Eastern Time Zone 75%. 
  • The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000.
