Job Title:Senior Social Media Manager
Location:Staten Island, NY (traveling to locations within Staten Island, with travel to New Hyde Park, NY office on Mondays)
Role Type:Direct Hire
Salary:$85,000-$90,000
Job Summary:
The Social Media Manager drives the development and execution of strategies to align social media initiatives with organizational goals. This role identifies the best platforms for engagement, designs cross-channel campaigns, and supports creative strategies to promote the organization's services and foster a vibrant, engaged community. The Strategist monitors campaign performance, provides actionable insights, and communicates results to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify the most effective social media channels to support organizational objectives.
- Design and implement cross-platform social media campaigns tailored to target audiences.
- Research, benchmark, and develop channel-specific strategies, including messaging and audience segmentation.
- Collaborate with marketing, public relations, and program stakeholders to identify content opportunities.
- Create and publish engaging, high-quality content across corporate social media channels.
- Monitor campaign performance using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Analyze data to maximize reach, engagement, and overall effectiveness.
- Provide recommendations for strategic adjustments based on performance insights.
- Conduct social listening to monitor topical discussions and brand sentiment.
- Manage community interactions, including responding to feedback and moderating user-generated content in line with company guidelines.
- Build meaningful relationships with followers and encourage community networking.
- Assist with negative feedback, bad reviews, and crisis communication.
- Provide leadership with regular reports and updates on campaign performance.
- Ensure corporate social media profiles are current, accurate, and comprehensive.
- Operate independently on moderately complex projects, requiring thoughtful analysis and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or related fields.
- Proficiency in photography and videography for social media.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexible to work in a hybrid setting and travel to various sites as needed in Staten Island
