Maxar is seeking a dynamic Content Marketing Lead to drive growth and brand awareness for our U.S. Government team. This role focuses on transforming cutting-edge geospatial technology solutions like space domain awareness and predictive change detection into compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience. Initially, you'll work on a variety of initiatives: mostly growth and ABM (email, paid, campaigns, social), some comms (thought leadership, newsletters, blogs), and bits of PMM (messaging, launches, website, sales enablement).

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Create, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns, product messaging, and content from ideation to delivery.
  • Produce engaging content across multiple formats in support of GTM activities: social media, advertising, demos, video, web copy, case studies, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Manage marketing operations including tracking campaign performance, optimizing processes, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and distribute internal communications materials such as all-hands meeting presentations, emails, and talking points.
  • Edit, review, and proofread all materials to ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Conduct audience research and competitive analysis to guide campaign strategy and messaging development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to highlight our innovations, success stories, and company news.
  • Leverage analytics tools, such as LinkedIn and Google Analytics, to identify insights, create success metrics, analyze performance, and make data-driven recommendations to improve content performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced marketing or communications company.
  • Experience managing and creating editorial calendars.
  • Ability to create content outside business hours, as events and news occur.
  • Experience producing B2B or B2G content, including social media, web copy, blogs, and leveraging SEO and analytics to track and improve performance.
  • Experience creating LinkedIn content and utilizing audience segmentation to drive revenue opportunities and maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Strong writer and eagle-eyed editor; be prepared to share writing samples.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Figma, Asana, Hootsuite, Salesforce, or a willingness to learn quickly.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Marketing experience at a technology or SaaS company.
  • Experience working in a Think Tank environment.
  • Passion for technology and national security.
  • Familiarity with AP Style and other writing standards.
  • Collaborative self-starter with a team-first mindset who takes initiative and drives projects to completion.
  • An exceptional writer with a knack for translating technical jargon into everyday language.
  • Flexible and calm under pressure, able to manage shifting priorities and handle multiple complex projects effectively.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels—from technical engineers to seasoned executives.
  • A keen eye for storytelling and brand consistency.
  • Thirst for speed, bias for action and results.
  • Data-driven mindset with a willingness to experiment and learn.
  • Passion for technology and national security.

In support of pay transparency at Maxar, we disclose salary ranges on all of our U.S. job postings. We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $66,000.00 - $141,000.00 annually.
