In this role, you will develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement, generate leads, and build brand awareness for Smithbucklin and our client organizations. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong B2B marketing background and a passion for creating compelling content. This role will work closely with the Director of External Marketing, the Chief Marketing Officer, and other company leaders. What You Will Do

The Senior Manager, Content Marketing plays a crucial role in creating the strategy and content that will build the brand presence for Smithbucklin and Smithbucklin company, 360 Live Media. In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Create and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely publishing across various channels.
  • Produce high-quality, engaging content tailored to different audiences and platforms, including collateral, thought leadership, white papers, case studies, videos, presentations, infographics, and social media posts.
  • Project manage and execute major initiatives to boost lead generation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development and service units, to gather insights and create relevant content.
  • Oversee website content, ensuring all content is aligned with brand messaging, optimized for SEO, and enhances user experience across all devices.
  • Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Mentor a small team of content creators, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing and association management.

  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of Associated Press style guidelines; solid writing and editing skills, and active-listening skills.

  • You can confidently and professionally interact with and influence senior executives and stakeholders who have a variety of communication styles, perspectives, and priorities.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in B2B content marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior or management role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.
  • Experience managing website content, including knowledge of content management systems (CMS), marketing automation tools, website architecture, user experience (UX) best practices, and accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush) to track performance and make data-driven improvements to website content.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, as well as cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in association management or working with non-profit organizations is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

Our hybrid environment offers you the option of working from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines. Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $105,000-$115,000.
