With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Director, Brand & Content Marketing to join our team in Camarillo, CA! This is a full-time, exempt position.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with company goals and values.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to enhance brand perception.
  • Lead the content marketing team in creating high-quality, engaging, and relevant content for various platforms, including website, social media, blogs, email campaigns, and more.
  • Develop content strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
  • Ensure content is optimized for SEO and aligns with overall marketing and business objectives.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, tone, and messaging.
  • Plan and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective campaign execution.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing brand and content, creative design marketing team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture. Provide guidance and support for team members' professional growth and development.
  • Work closely with product, market development, scientific affairs, sales, and customer success teams to ensure brand and content marketing efforts align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and influencers to amplify brand reach and impact.
  • Provide guidance and support to regional marketing teams to adapt global brand strategies to local markets.
  • Manage the company's trademark portfolio, ensuring all trademarks are properly registered and renewed.
  • Work closely with the legal department and/or outside counsel to monitor and enforce the company’s intellectual property rights.
  • Develop and implement strategies to protect and leverage the company’s trademarks and other IP assets across the globe.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of brand and content marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on key metrics and ROI to senior leadership.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance data and industry best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience of B2B marketing, brand management and content marketing, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Advanced knowledge of CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.) and HTML.
  • Intermediate knowledge of CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Marketing Automation systems (Act-On, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of content distribution networks (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, SEO best practices, and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new and effective digital marketing programs:
    • Advanced Knowledge of social media networks
    • Advanced knowledge of SEO (on-page, off page, link building)
    • Advanced knowledge of remarketing and conversion tracking (tracking/conversion pixels)
    • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and UTM codes
    • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads (other platforms helpful)
  • Prior work experience in related biotechnology, microbiology and/or applied science industry preferred

Salary Range (applicable to California):

$140,000 - $165,000 base salary DOE

Supervisory Responsibilities:

In accordance with applicable policies/procedures and Federal/State laws, may perform the following supervisory responsibilities: Interviewing, hiring orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; enforcing all safety rules and ensuring safe work procedures.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment
  • Initiative taker and strong self-starter – a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must be fluent in English; Bilingual also a bonus


Working Condition:

  • May occasionally work early morning/evenings/weekends to accommodate meetings and travel
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time required.
