The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Softball Club are seeking a qualified individual to serve as a member of our Content Team as the Social Media Content Creation Intern for the upcoming 2025 seasons.
Responsibilities Include:
- Keep fans informed about the team through regular social media posts.
- Post on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Capture and post live in-game content.
- Coordinate with marketing, sponsorships, community relations, sales, and baseball operations to meet organizational goals.
- Act as an on-camera personality to engage fans with the team and park experience.
- Engage fans on camera for stills/videos and capture compelling stories.
- Assist Creative Media interns.
- Post game-day content (graphics, lineups, stats, outcomes).
- Cover fan experiences with videos/photos of stands, partnerships, food, entertainment, etc.
- Build relationships with sponsors, affiliates, and league teams via social media.
- Execute partnership social media obligations.
- Plan and schedule posts for maximum impact.
- Maintain collaborative post relationships.
- Make minor graphic design tweaks using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CapCut.
- Respond to or forward community questions on social media.
- Collaborate with photographers/videographers on projects.
- Track social media performance over time.
- Help organize, tag, and distribute photos during the season
-Assist with stadium set-up and clean up before and after each home game and event
-Preseason stadium maintenance and cleaning
-Postseason stadium maintenance and cleaning
-Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•Must be a current college student (undergraduate or graduate)
•Preferably pursuing a degree in photography, graphic design, or digital marketing
•Knowledge of video techniques, including camera positioning, lighting, etc.
•A personal camera to shoot photos and video (a plus).
•Must be comfortable interacting and being in front of fans.
•Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom)
•Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
•Includes occasional office hours per week
•Have an enthusiastic, positive attitude and provide a strong effort to succeed
•Must be a creative thinker and do well in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to problem solve
•Comfortable interacting with all levels within organization as well as outside contacts
•Strong time management and attention to details
•Familiar with Microsoft Office and possess excellent written and oral communication skills
•Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability, and proper attitude in dealing with others including co-workers and customers
