Purpose of Role

The Creative Director, Studio will lead the Omni Content Studio, focusing on elevating high-volume, conversion-driven photography and video content for our ecommerce site and app. They will also oversee product-focused advertising content, ensuring the brand delivers innovative and effective creative solutions.

This role includes full creative responsibility for ecommerce visuals, such as on-figure, footwear, and still-life content, ensuring the brand appears premium and aspirational. The CD will manage the creative relationship with our external ecom production agency and lead creative strategy, collaborating with channel marketers and the operations team to maximize content impact.

Additionally, the Creative Director will oversee product content creation for other channels, working with global teams to deliver high-quality executions. They will inspire the team to push creative boundaries while maintaining high standards despite the repetitive nature of the work. The CD will champion creative excellence, working across departments to ensure innovative and disruptive solutions that drive customer engagement with the brand.

Your Impact

  1. Responsibility over all studio content output for our website, app and digital channels
  2. Utilize data to elevate consumer experiences, maximize content effectiveness and drive conversion
  3. Drive innovation for studio creative, ensuring our content stays ahead of changing consumer behaviors and technology
  4. Collaborate with global creative/marketing/ops teams to ensure studio content aligns with the Brand vision
  5. Work collaboratively with agency partner and other resources to produce best-in-class visuals that reflect and elevate brand’s DNA and standards
  6. Ensure creative teams understand consumer behaviors across categories and channels.
  7. Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with creative goals and standards.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree with typically 12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or typically 16 years of relevant experience without degree.
  2. Typically, 6+ years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.
  3. 10+ years in agency/in-house creative teams or as a freelancer for national clients.
  4. At least 5 years of experience leading a creative team.
  5. Skilled in directing agencies and negotiating creative solutions aligned with brand identity.
  6. Deep understanding of apparel and footwear styling, trends, and culture.
  7. Proven leadership in high-volume studio creative output.
  8. Strong presentation and communication skills, effective with both small and large groups.
  9. Track record of successful creative pitches to executives and stakeholders.
  10. Proficient in writing and interpreting creative briefs for clear communication.
  11. Expertise in creative technology and innovation for groundbreaking results.
  12. Master of Adobe Creative Suite and skilled in Keynote, PPT, or related platforms.

Workplace Location

Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from either our Baltimore, MD OR New York City office.

Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Travel: Frequent travel to New York City and Portland. Biannual trips to Asia. Travel will be approx. 30% of job.

Base Compensation

$188,348.75 - $258,979.88 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
