We’re on the lookout for a talented and passionate Motion Creative Director to help build the next wave of capabilities of our personal AI companion, Copilot. We're looking for someone who has experience and passion for driving the end-to-end process of setting design vision and execution for innovative zero-to-one consumer products. We’re looking for someone with an abundance of positive energy, empathy, and kindness, in addition to being highly effective. The right candidate takes the initiative and enjoys building world-class consumer experiences and products in a fast-paced environment. This is a player/coach role. In addition to setting vision and direction, the ideal candidate can execute craft at pace within our design principles.

By applying to this U.S. Mountain View, CA position, you are required to be local to the San Francisco area and in office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive building world-class AI applications that will delight consumers across Copilot, Edge, Bing, Windows and Mobile.
  2. Own a product area and be responsible for understanding user needs and behaviors, defining product requirements, managing end-to-end product development, launches and iterations.
  3. Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to get your work into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.
  4. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.
  5. Translate business goals into strategy, user experience and technical requirements in close collaboration with UX designers and AI model training teams.
  6. Define goals and performance indicators, set up and oversee experiments, measure success with data and research.
  7. Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to build exceptional consumer-grade applications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in product or service design
  2. OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in product or service design
  3. OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years' experience in motion design.
  2. 4+ years' experience in creative direction.
  3. Experience working with branding, marketing and product design teams.
  4. Proven experience working collaboratively with multiple teams.
  5. Ability to create and tell stories broadly, across the entire portfolio.

Product Design IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
