Job Summary

Collaborate with the creative services team to develop strategic, engaging graphic content for City departments. This role involves concept ideation, collaborative graphic design work, and contributing to a positive and informed workplace culture. Gain valuable experience in public sector communications and contribute to projects with a citywide impact.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop graphic concepts and execute accurate, effective design for assigned strategic campaign(s)
  1. Ensure all visuals abide by Copyright rules and regulations, City brand, and accessibility standards.
  2. Collaborate with Communications team on design review. Attend relevant meetings and contribute to overall team operations.
  3. Proofread deliverables ahead of publication.
  4. Provide excellent customer service, while maintaining project expectations and deadlines.
  5. Utilize project management software to track and document project status, accurately record project time worked, and resolve assigned work requests in a timely manner.
  6. Learn basic post-press duties, including cutting with paper cutters and hand tools, laminating, operating folding machine, binding, mounting items on foam core, and assembling and collating items.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
