We are seeking a Senior Program Manager with a strong focus on creative design to lead our communications team in delivering impactful, high-quality outreach. In this pivotal role, you will develop forward-thinking strategies, partner with diverse stakeholders, and build a culture where every voice is valued.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead & Inspire: Oversee a dynamic communications team, including writers, editors, graphic designers, videographers, animators, photographers, media and social media specialists, conference planners, web content managers, and 508 compliance remediators.
- Innovative Strategy Development: Craft and execute digital marketing strategies to elevate the DHS Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) initiatives and technology programs.
- Contract & Budget Management: Track and manage contract budgets and ensure accurate, timely updates to clients on project milestones, staffing, budget status, and communications opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Maintain clear communication with clients, providing insights on contractor activities and COD promotional opportunities.
Location: Remote (Must reside within commuting distance of Washington, DC)
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in program management with a background in writing, editing, and managing diverse communications projects. Over
- 5 years of experience in people management.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and project management tools.
- PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is a plus.
- Leadership in Diversity: Proven success in leading diverse, creative teams and cultivating inclusive, collaborative environments.
- Innovation in Outreach: Skilled in developing and implementing effective outreach strategies for federal clients.
- Resilience Under Pressure: Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects confidently and effectively.
