This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
This is a hybrid position with the office located in Spring, Texas (Houston, TX metro area).

The Creative Director is considered a leadership position at Cultivate What Matters and you will be responsible for implementing and executing the vision of the company through layout, marketing, and product design efforts. This position is considered the Department Leader for the entire creative department.
Job Qualifications:
- Formal education in graphic design is required for this position. Bachelor's required; M.A. or M.F.A. preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Advanced understanding of the elements of layout, marketing, and product design
- 5+ years layout and product design experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in management
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. You must be excellent at overseeing systems and processes.
- Familiarity with broader design trends
- Cast vision for the design team, set an appropriate strategy, and implement that plan on an annual basis, ensuring everyone is working toward the mission of CWM
- Provide brand oversight, ensuring that brand guides are followed across all resources
- Learn the details of each role within the design department and design as needed
- Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable (LMA) a growing team of talented designers
- Oversee designer workloads, facilitate department meetings, maintain regular check-ins with designers, and conduct quarterly conversations and reviews
- Oversee design projects, manage timelines, review design concepts, and check proof & production files
- Create annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals for the entire department and work with each team member to ensure success
- Serve on the Leadership Team and contribute toward company-wide vision casting and new initiatives
- Work cross-departmentally to ensure brand cohesion
- Consult with the content department to ensure our design aligns with the copy of the product
- Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure marketing design aids in accomplishing the marketing vision
- Other duties as assigned
- Starting annual salary for this position is $70,000-90,000 based on education and experience
