The Director will manage a team of UX designers, researchers, and potentially other design-related roles, ensuring that all products are designed with the user in mind.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the UX design strategy aligned with the company's overall product vision and business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, researchers, and other design professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization, ensuring that user experience is prioritized in product development.
- Oversee the design of user interfaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and aligned with the brand.
- Drive the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design concepts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design practices, applying this knowledge to improve the company's products.
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other stakeholders to integrate UX design into the product development process.
- Present design concepts and user experience strategies to senior leadership, gathering feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment between the design team and other departments.
- Oversee user research activities, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys, to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Analyze research data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Implement and maintain a process for continuous user feedback and iteration.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the UX design team, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure that all design projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence within the design team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful digital products.
- Experience managing and scaling design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team of designers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to various stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Figma.
- Proactive, ownership mindset with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Experience in SaaS
- Familiarity with front-end development and technical constraints.
