Job Summary: As an Interior Designer for a client of ours in the commercial furniture dealership industry, you will be responsible for providing expert design solutions for commercial spaces, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and alignment with client needs. You will collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and sales teams to create customized furniture layouts and interior designs for office environments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and other commercial spaces. Your role will involve the selection and specification of furniture, materials, and finishes, as well as managing the design process from concept to completion. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs, objectives, and space requirements. Develop innovative design concepts and space plans for commercial environments, focusing on functionality, aesthetics, and brand alignment. Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and furniture layouts using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit). Select and specify furniture, finishes, materials, and accessories that meet client expectations and budget requirements. Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to source furniture and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Prepare and present design proposals, including mood boards, product samples, and pricing estimates, to clients and internal teams. Work closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure designs are implemented effectively and within project timelines. Oversee installation and delivery of furniture, ensuring designs are executed as planned and resolving any issues that arise during the process. Stay current with industry trends, new product offerings, and design innovations to provide clients with up-to-date solutions. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to client expectations and budget constraints. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 2 years) as an interior designer, with a focus on commercial spaces and furniture solutions. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools. Strong knowledge of furniture, materials, finishes, and space planning principles for commercial environments. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A portfolio showcasing previous commercial design projects is preferred.
