Job Title: Piping Designer
Job Description
Our client designs and engineers natural gas piping and compressor/metering stations for the midstream natural gas industry. This position supports project managers with pipeline design and construction projects. Responsible for all design drawing preparation necessary to support client projects as it pertains to mechanical piping. Must work closely with Lead Designers, Project Managers, and other team members. Contributes as part of the design team to ensure the productive use of AutoCAD in preparing facility design packages for natural gas, natural gas liquids, oil, CO2, and other products associated with the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
Medium-sized engineering office with 35-50 people working both in and out of the office, including field personnel, engineers, and project managers in Kentucky. The team is multidisciplinary and offers a flexible work structure, including the possibility of remote work arrangements for exceptional candidates. The standard workweek involves three days in the office and two days remote. The company is committed to accommodating reasonable personal situations and schedules.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.

- Prepare design drawings to support client projects related to mechanical piping.
- Collaborate closely with Lead Designers, Project Managers, and other team members.
- Utilize AutoCAD to prepare facility design packages for natural gas, natural gas liquids, oil, CO2, and other related products.
- Ensure productive use of design software and tools in project execution.
- Design and mechanical piping experience
- 3D Design
- Mechanical CAD experience
- Experience in consulting environments
- Proficiency with fitting design, P&ID, CADWorx, piping design, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, mechanical design, and mechanical drafting/design
- 1+ years of piping design experience
- Experience with utility, plant, or industrial projects
- Consulting environment experience
