Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a Civil Designer to join our Engineering Design Organization! As a Civil Designer, you will work alongside our Civil Engineers on projects in the industrial, municipal and environmental markets. You'll work on the designs, calculations and modelling in preparation of specification and drawing packages for construction of water distribution, sewer collection, pumping station, roadways, stormwater, and all aspects of a linear focused design.

As part of a truly global team, working on complex and rewarding projects, you'll be at the forefront of driving change.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
  • Preparing and editing designs recommended by Project Engineers
  • Preparing portions of project documents including drawings and specifications
  • Researching code and regulatory requirements
  • Researching design options, component specifications and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager
  • Involvement in Construction including site inspections, review of shop drawings, and responding to contractor's questions; as needed, prepare alternate designs to resolve construction challenges
  • Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing facilities
  • Execute design calculations for sanitary storm sewers and watermain also using computer assisted software programs
  • Participate in design meetings and project team meetings
  • Attend and participate in client/team progress meetings including preparation of meeting records

What you will bring to the team:
  • At least 5-10 years of Civil Design experience
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D
  • Knowledge of modeling and design software (i.e. REVIT, PCSWMM, etc.) as applicable
