The primary role of the Instructional Designer is to compose and edit training curriculum, technical documentation, and user manuals. The Instructional Designer may also be involved in planning, designing, writing, editing, and proofreading documents such as correspondence, contract deliverables, manuals, proposals, and various company policies, plans, forms, and procedures in support of FNHW initiatives.
Duties:
- Write learning objectives & assignments into program designs
- Determine the scope of training courseware
- Develop courseware & content, for new and existing employees
- Assist in the testing of programs and measure feedback making changes
- Develop audio, visual, and interactive media aids
- Plan and create assessments
- Review existing curriculum for accuracy and performance
- Collaborate with other Subject Matter Experts to bridge any learning gaps in material
- Partner with internal Stakeholders to complete analysis and guide learning content
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Instructional Design function
- High School diploma or GED required, some college a plus, or equivalent mix of education and experience
- Experience with insurance industry software (i.e. Guidewire, Origami, Sapiens) and training related to it is required
- High level of proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint, and standard proficiency with other MS Office products (Teams, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong grammar and proofreading skills
- Self-starter with ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
- Home Warranty experience a plus

Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position, and will be scheduled well ahead, when required.
