Architectural Planning - Store Planning interior spaces
Project Description:
Responsible for helping to create standards and support systems used by Architectural Planning, could also assist drawing store specific plans as needed.
Position Summary/Job Description:
This position will perform multiple tasks within the store planning discipline. The role is primarily supporting the team that is responsible for the planning and drawing of multiple architectural and floor plan drawings for prototypical and more complex open stores, new stores, resets, remodels, and relocations from project inception to completion. They help standardize processes and create tools so the team can provide fixture and merchandise plans based on provided criteria, space optimization, and the Store Design Guidelines as well as plans and criteria set documents to facilitate the needs of Construction/Deployment. This person is accountable for learning all requirements to draw new and existing projects into the stores.
• Supports the tools and systems that are used to draw plans for reset, remodel, relocation and NSO projects based on business criteria that incorporate fixtures, product merchandising, directional signage, and other customer facing components.
• Draws and supports the creation of floor plans, site plans and construction documents, as they relate to the development of retail environments utilizing standard prototype criteria & macro space tools.
• Works with the leader to deliver project timing and deliverables in in all phases of a project from concept to deployment.
• Works with leader in the evaluation of retail environments for operational compliance. This will include but be not limited to stock, merchandise areas, loss prevention, product optimization needs and store operations.
• Apply critical thinking skills and business/system knowledge to help execute new systems, to define solutions, standards and initiate improvements that drive efficiency.
• Manage the strategy development and execution of system updates in support of companywide initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for changes which support business strategy, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Utilizes expert business and functional knowledge to define and drive resolutions to business challenges.
• Represent the business and/or systems during the scoping, development and implementation of initiatives impacting all aspects of floor planning.
