Job Description
SeamonWhiteside is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our growing Water Resources team as a Stormwater Designer in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.
This position will focus on the analysis and design of natural and man-made water ways to include both floodplains and stormwater systems. The successful candidate will be involved in projects and tasks ranging from stormwater system assessments and master planning, FEMA floodplain studies, floodplain mapping, bridge and culvert hydraulic studies, stormwater and drainage system asset inventory and management, sea level rise and resiliency planning, design and preparation of construction documents, and construction administration.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, required
Master’s Degree is a plus
Experience: 0 - 4 years work experience in a similar position
Desired Skills
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with design of municipal stormwater infrastructure, such as collection systems, pump stations, closed conduit systems, and open channel drainage
- Familiarity of hydraulic modeling software such as EPAWMM, HEC-RAS, and SRH-2D
- Familiarity and knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software for preparation of construction documents
- Familiarity and knowledge of GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS Pro
- Ability to work independently to effectively manage time and work in a team environment
