Position Overview:
Self-motivated, experienced Graphic Designer who is passionate about helping drive the creative vision for a youthful, rapidly expanding restaurant brand. This role is responsible for the development and execution of high-level creative that extends brand recognition and deepens guests relationship with BIBIBOP. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of design, conceptual thinking, creative problem-solving, storytelling, and current trends, technologies, print processes, and restaurant/retail environments.
BIBIBOP is a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment. This position works closely with designers, photographers, and food stylists, as well as architecture, construction, and operations. Strong interpersonal skills, written communication, and organization are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee creative development of all print and digital marketing vehicles
- Develop and pitch campaign art direction to senior leadership
- Create the first draft designs for major brand updates and new platforms (app, website, menu boards, drive-thru, grab-&-go)
- Manage new store graphics kit mock-ups, placements, and follow-up on final execution
- Exterior signage kit mock-ups, placements, and follow-up on final execution
- Large-scale art design (store window vinyls, billboards, murals, etc.)
- Cast vision for new platforms, store installations, story-telling opportunities, etc.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to shape and provide creative support for social media/app/email initiatives
- Assemble compelling presentations to further the teams understanding of brand tenets, ongoing projects, new initiatives, real estate pitches, etc.
- Have a deep understanding of the BIBIBOP brand (and the BIBIBOP guests) to protect core elements and innovate effectively
Skills and Abilities:
- Detail-oriented layout/type treatment formatting
- Ability to sketch/pitch concepts before executing digital design
- Creative thought-leadership in establishing, implementing, and improving direction, goals, and process for the team with a 12-month vision for the brand
- Ability to multitask across multiple pieces of business, goal-set proactively, and drive projects forward independently
- Experience across a full palette of brand expression: print, OOH, events, in-store experience, social media, film, and digital platforms
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable guiding teams, freelancers, agencies, internal collaborators, and production partners, but a significant amount of design work needs to be done by themselves as well
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience; BA or BFA preferred
- Portfolio or samples of work demonstrating smart, brand-building designs, ideas, and executions
- Proficient experience with the Adobe Creative Suites design and photography applications including Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro and Lightroom
- A demonstrated understanding of environment design/architectural drawings
- Agency, restaurant, or retail design experience would be beneficial
