KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- NPD/NPI; early involvement on new tooling builds
- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Lead mold repairs and refurbishments in coordination with the tool room and external tool shops.
- Support Production, Quality, and tooling with legacy programs
- Participate in design and process review to ensure correct specifications for each project.
- Develop manufacturing procedures; tooling, fixtures, and process to meet customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain tooling Preventative Maintenance processes and schedules.
- Develop tooling standards; interact with off-shore, local, and other Seaway divisions for tooling needs.
- Engineering Change Management; estimating costs, vendor selection, and scheduling.
- Update and maintain customer tooling audits.
- Work with Program Management supporting requirements related to NPD/NPI projects.
- Owns the CAD file management for Tooling including file revisions and updates

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience within manufacturing industry.
- 5+ years' experience in Plastics Injection Molding manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD, including but not limited to Mold Designs and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of DFM, hot runners, collapsible cores, unscrewing mechanism, valve gates, molding, and over molding plastics.
- Knowledge of post molding operations such as: ultrasonic welding, assembly, pad printing, laser marking, machining, etc.
- Experience with reversed engineering, analysis, and overlapping 3D files.
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet defined deliverables.
- Understanding of scientific molding and validation protocols using IQ, OQ, PQ.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels in the organization.
- Follow engineering department; infrastructure, procedures and policies including the use and utilization of proper company forms.
- Strong Customer relationship management skills.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
- Well organized and goal orientated.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrated experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques.
- Limited physical effort, able to carry at least 50 lbs.
- Travel +/- 15%
