Summary: The Graphic Design Associate is responsible for creating innovative digital and print promotional materials for Mandel JCC marketing campaigns to attract new members and participants to The J's fitness and aquatics, Early Childhood, day and overnight camps, and arts and culture programs.
Expectations of Employees:
- Support the Mission of the Mandel JCC.
- Ensure the highest quality of programs and services and possess a working knowledge of Agency programs and services.
- Represent the Agency and provide the highest quality of customer service.
- Adhere to all policies and practices provided in the employee handbook.
- Wear Mandel JCC Staff uniform and ID badge.
- Attend appropriate staff meetings.
Essential Functions:
- Conceptualizes design ideas and strategy from inception to completion for digital and print media.
- Design print materials including, but not limited to, flyers, print ads, newsletters, brochures, postcards, quarterly events catalogue, etc.
- Create digital and social media materials including, but not limited to email marketing, e-blast campaigns, Facebook and Instagram ads, etc.
- Create online display, paid search, and re-targeting ads.
- Meet and work with program managers to design print and digital materials that will effectively promote their offerings and drive qualified traffic to their programs.
- Assist with implementation of branding initiatives.
- Engage in the design and upkeep of the website, including landing pages, using a Content Management System.
- Work with vendors to manage costs, get competitive bids, and produce materials.
- Take and edit photos and videos and upload/post images to website and social media accounts.
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field.
- Two to three years of graphic design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
- Working knowledge of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as a high degree of organization.
- Ability to work independently while managing the workflow of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
