*This position is 100% in office and will be based in Irvine, CA with occasional travel

General Responsibilities:
- Drive all aspects of events, from budget creation to venue sourcing, contract negotiation, logistics, and flawless on-site execution.
- Research and develop innovative ideas and creative assets to enhance event engagement, encourage attendee participation, and effectively communicate the organization's goals .
- Communicate effectively with event attendees, internal and external partners, and team members to keep everyone informed and aligned.
- Manage on-site event logistics effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, proactively troubleshooting and creatively resolving day-of-event challenges.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal departments and external partners drive successful event outcomes.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment on event goals.
- Manage adherence to relevant guidelines and regulations for all events, responding to and resolving event emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to assess success, identify areas for improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of innovative processes to streamline event operations and continuously drive improvements in event quality.
- Propose and manage event budgets, ensuring financial responsibility and adherence to allocated funding.
Work Schedule + Benefits
- Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
- Pay Range for Event Planner I is $70,000 - $84,000 annualized salary*
- Pay Range for Event Planner II is $77,000 - $94,000 annualized salary*
*Dependent on level of event plannin experience

- Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

- This position requires approximately 20% travel for events; including overnights, typically midweek and occasional weekends
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Certification in Event Planning or Management (e.g. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) is desirable.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in event management or a related field.
- Experience with diverse event types (e.g. corporate events, weddings, company parties, competition management/sports events, etc.) is desirable.
- Poficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Familiarity with event management software (e.g. Cvent) is preferred
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello) is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, relationship-building, and negotiating skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Proficient in project management
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, requiring the frequent exercise of discretion, judgment, analysis, and creativity in resolving issues and making recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability to change.
