Summary:
Performs the duties necessary to support the interpretation of breast imaging studies and preforms these duties in a manner that meets the service and productivity expectations of the breast-imaging department. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:
. High School Diploma or GED
Ability to participant in the training of new staff members
Direct all activities toward meeting and exceeding the needs and expectations of all departmental and Medical Center customers.
Must demonstrate understanding of organizational vision, mission and values.

Physical Demands:
Duties and responsibilities require considerable physical exertion, including frequent or continuous walking, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying of loads averaging 5-15 lbs.
Responsibilities:
Assume an active role and provide valuable input to the management team of the Breast Imaging Department
Confirm certified return mail receipts
Contributes to staff and team meetings on a regular basis
Digitize and/or re-digitize analog studies using iCAD process and procedures, when needed
Has working knowledge of Epic
Interacts with all departmental and Medical Center customers to respond and act upon service issues.
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
Maintains work environment in a manner that meets departmental and regulatory requirements
Maintain valid driver's license
Place orders in Epic, including but not limited to, obtaining a hospital account record, when needed
Prepare, sort and mail patient, physician and certified letters
Prepare documents for scanning to include printing of scanning cover sheet
Prepares and assigns breast-imaging examinations for interpretation. This includes, but not limited to, screening, diagnostics, interventional breast tissue sampling procedures, breast MRI's and procedures, IOE's, comparisons and store-only orders.
Prepares outside images for importing. This includes, but not limited to, placing store-only orders in Epic, importing and reconciling images in Candelis.
Processes data information requests as per HIPAA guidelines.
Produces work in an efficient manner that meets departmental productivity standards
Responsible for maintaining a safe and responsive environment for all departmental and Medical Center customers.
