Overview

USC Communications is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join its team. The Communications team sets the strategic communications vision and marketing strategies that promote the campus community's innovative accomplishments, builds a strong brand identity and nurtures the University's reputation among its vast constituencies.
Reporting to the Art Director, the Senior Graphic Designer will produce print and digital creative solutions to support the marketing and communications efforts of University Advancement and the USC Alumni Association.
The ideal candidate is a creative professional with a strong background in print and digital design. Previous experience in art direction and editorial design is required, along with proficiency in desktop publishing systems and a commitment to timely project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
This is a hybrid position under our current work arrangement plan, with the expectation of on-site presence in our offices in the USC Tower located adjacent to campus in downtown Los Angeles.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $96,643.95 - $127,396.04. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Creates and executes concepts for print and digital collateral including, but not limited to, leadership gift proposals, program and event identities, magazines, impact reports, brochures, ads, presentations, event collateral, signage, infographics, webpages, emails and promotional items.
- Provides print-ready files and coordinates production, including press checks and photo delivery, with project manager and printers/vendors.
- Maintains USC brand continuity and visual appearance across digital, print and multimedia environments.
- Creates concepts, artwork, icons, logos, and copy/web layouts for identity design and branding.
- Sets production schedules and meeting deadlines for design projects and ensures timely completion of work.
- Develops and manages budgets for specific projects.
- Assists in quality control by proofing final artwork before submission, and checks projects for accuracy, design, color, format, alignment and legibility.
- Works with clients to advise, create, modify and execute design standards and solutions to visual media objectives and/or requirements.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
