Job Description Summary
* IMPORTANT NOTE: This position is open to applicants who are CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT ULV AND HAVE AN ACTIVE FEDERAL WORK STUDY award *
The Ontario City Library is seeking creative individuals who have a passion for design and marketing. Graphics Aides assist Ontario City Library staff in creating flyers, social media images, signs, and other materials to promote library programs and services.
Availability:
Must be available at least one day/week to work in person at the Ovitt Family Community Library.
Specific Duties
•Assist staff in creating flyers, signs, posters, and other print graphics
•Assist staff in creating social media images and videos
•Print and disseminate materials
•Photograph library moments and events
Minimum Qualifications
-Safety conscious.
-Computer skills.
-Interest in technology.
-Good communication skills.
-Positive attitude.
-Calm and patient.
-Dependable.
-Reliable transportation.
-Ability to pass a fingerprint review (background check) as necessary
-Must be a current University of La Verne student
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Canva a plus.
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
