Student Employee - Library Assistant
$12.00 per hour
The Library stutdent employee will be responsible to assist with the migration of the new Library LMS system Ex-Libris. Organizational skills are necessary for weeding the stacks in preparation for identifying all material that will migrate into the new statewide-shared LMS. All mark record in the collection must be coded & updated prior to migration. Knowledge of Sierra (OhioLINK's current information system) is helpful. The ability to interpret technical data and run queries to extract data is required.

This is a part-time position 20 hrs. a week with day & times to be determined.

- Weed catalog collection of library materials to prepare for migration of new LMS.
- Create & run queries in Innovative for Ex Libris information extraction
- Rectify error reports from pulled data for Ex Libris migration
- Create & update Bibliographic Mark record codes for all migrating materials from Hocking to the shared data with OhioLINK
- Create field mapping for all mark records
- Assist in writing rules for, cataloging & circulation desk policy
- Test run Ex Libris programs in sandbox.
- Be familiar with OhioLINK OSTAFF page to prepared for the next phase of the LMS Migration
- Be current on Ex Libris Basecamp information from Ex Libris so as not to miss deadline for the LMS Migration
- General Library circulation desk duties

Qualification required:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have or be working toward Associate Degree in related field
- Strong technology skills including usage of Microsoft Office, email, and student information system
- Ability to continuously prioritize work, set and achieve effective goals, and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through in order to achieve goals
- Possess a positive attitude
