Job Description
We are in search of a Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our hospitality client in Marina Del Rey. The job function involves supporting our sales and marketing efforts, managing databases, and coordinating events. This is a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the coordination of internal events and tours to showcase Marina del Rey to potential clients and stakeholders.
• Managing and maintaining databases and CRM systems for sales leads, booked business, business contacts, and community contacts.
• Performing outreach and communication to third-party planners to follow up on the status of existing sales leads.
• Compiling and tracking data related to sales activities, group sales leads, and client engagement.
• Serving as a resource to partner hotels, venues, restaurants, and attractions in the area.
• Producing monthly sales reports to provide insights for board meeting reports and support decision-making.
• Assisting with the delivery of collateral materials for hotels, restaurants, and attractions in and around Marina del Rey.
• Regularly reviewing and updating content on visitmdr.com, social media, event calendar, and tourism resources to maintain accuracy.
• Participating in trainings, tours, and events to enhance skills and knowledge of the area/community.
• Responding to group sales and social event leads obtained through Cvent, website, or other email inquiries.
• Assisting in coordinating logistics related to internal meetings and virtual meetings.
• Sales and Marketing Coordinator position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Applicants should have experience in creating and managing Banner Ads.
• Knowledge of Cisco Webex Meetings for organizing and conducting virtual meetings is a must.
• Candidates should have experience with Concur for travel and expense management.
• Proficiency in CRM software for managing customer relationships and interactions is required.
• Applicants should have an understanding of budget processes and be able to manage and maintain financial records.
• Strong calendar management skills are required for scheduling and organizing meetings, appointments, and events.
• Excellent Communication skills are needed to effectively interact with team members, management, and clients.
• Experience in organizing and conducting conference calls is a must.
