POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Officer will support the bank’s Marketing Director and serve as a key resource for executives, sales teams, business units, branches, and departments. This role will focus on
tactical marketing initiatives, public relations, email campaigns, social media content, and general sales support. The Marketing Officer will be responsible for assisting the marketing
leadership team with the development, execution, and monitoring of Bankfirst’s marketing and communications plans, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals, brand
guidelines, and compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES
Assist in marketing planning and implementation, including market research, promotions, advertising, and campaign evaluation. Develop and coordinate marketing campaigns,
content, and collateral, ensuring the accuracy and quality of marketing materials and managing the day-to-day advertising requests.
Serve as a liaison with advertising agencies and strategic partners to develop and implement various marketing concepts, objectives, materials, advertisements, programs,
press releases, and special events, ensuring market awareness of BankFirst’s products and services.
Manage the Bank’s visual identity, including signs, banners, stationery, literature, and all other branded materials. Collaborate with vendors to oversee production, quality control,
and distribution of promotional materials. Maintain an inventory of marketing and promotional materials.
Oversee the Bank’s website, social media platforms, and intranet content, ensuring it remains current and engaging. Review and report on social media performance, seeking
to elevate engagement opportunities.
Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all marketing efforts adhere to Bank policies, laws, and regulations. Stay updated on new and existing compliance rules and
regulations.
Request and validate targeted lists to ensure data accuracy for marketing initiatives.
Support the planning and execution of special events, including the annual employee meeting, media events, business development events, community outreach, and
customer education seminars.
Manage the accounting process for the Marketing department, including processing invoices and producing reports to track marketing expenses against the budget.
Oversee the installation, management, and auditing of marketing materials at branches, ensuring timely updates and relevant information. Handle internal marketing requests
from branches.
Communicate campaign deliverables, objectives, and timelines to the front-line team, providing clear instructions for promotions.
Contribute to team efforts by working on special projects and performing other job-related duties as directed by the Marketing Director.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
These qualifications represent the minimum standards typically required for satisfactory performance in this position.
The ideal candidate should possess:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field.
Experience in social media strategy, engagement, marketing management, and reporting.
3-5 years of experience in marketing, with financial industry experience being a plus.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, facilitate constructive discussions, and challenge differing viewpoints when necessary.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey instructions and ideas to clients, vendors, and colleagues.
Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail. Experience with Adobe Suite and MailChimp is a plus.
Proficiency in personal computer operations, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRMs). Experience
managing a CRM system is a plus.
Ability to interface with personnel at all levels within the organization.
Strong time and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
